 Hi, it has been awhile since I have updated this page. I have finished two new projects and am working on release dates now. I will keep you updated as details develope. I am really excited about both of them. Many of you will be surprised by these projects. I can hardly wait... I hope to start working on a new jazz CD this Fall for a Spring 2011 release. That CD also will have a few great surprises on it. Music is such a blessing from GOD! What would we do without this universal language to share? I LOVE it! My project,"Dreams Like This" has done well for me. It is close to my heart. I usually do not record many cover songs. I love to write and share my own music as much as I can. Occasionally a song comes along that has such an impact and influence on me that I just have to do my own arrangement. On "Dreams Like This" I chose to record a song that I learned when I was eight years old and just beginning my study of the guitar. The song is "Sunny" by Bobby Hebb. Little did I know or ever imagine what that song would become for me. Fast forward to 2008, I had just recorded my version of "Sunny". A friend of mine arranged for Bobby Hebb to come to my studio and hear my version of his song. I was nervous as a kid. I mean, here I am in my studio, with the man that wrote and performed that song in 1966, AND he is listening to my version of HIS song! I was so pleased that he loved it ! In fact he loved it so much he offered to sing on it. I was beside myself. He said to me, "man...let me hear that again...that is the best version I have heard...except for mine"! Needless to say we all laughed. On Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010, Bobby Hebb passed away. He was a true gentleman. He blessed many people with his music. Even though I only knew him for a short time, I felt like we were friends since I was eight years old. I will never forget performing with this legend.
